ProTrans International’s Synchronized Consolidation (PSC) System

Our PSC System is an internally developed freight consolidation process. This process is where several suppliers’ shipments are picked up simultaneously and brought to an origin Service Center. At the center, freight is consolidated and then shipped to the destination Service Center. A company that implements lean manufacturing, Kaizen, or any other type of JIT manufacturing technique, will often rely on a milkrun to pick up shipments from different suppliers. ProTrans International has found that this method can be improved upon and subsequently created the PSC System.

Service Agreement

Our Service Agreement is a contract between ProTrans International and our customer. This agreement details basic service requirements as well as a customized shipping schedule for all suppliers. Our Supplier Release Schedule, which allows our customers to individually schedule each of their suppliers’ pick-up dates, is the key to managing shipments.

ProTrack

The ProTrack System is our proprietary tracking software developed by our programmers. This advanced application automates the supply chain process from order entry to the invoicing cycle. With this system, our primary objective is to proactively manage and trace our customers’ freight to ensure time definite delivery.

ProLink

ProLink is our customers' window into our ProTrack database. It is a password-protected system that permits only authorized personnel to view their own company's shipment information. Our customers access ProLink through entering their User ID and password on this Web site.

LoadBuilder Management Tool

LoadBuilder is our computerized trailer loading module used for stacking and loading efficiencies. All required shipment dimensions and stacking codes are downloaded into LoadBuilder from our ProTrack system. LoadBuilder facilitates increased trailer utilization and lowered transportation costs.

Inventory and Premium Freight Reduction

Our system of managed material flow effectively reduces our customers’ inventory by means of time definite delivery, reduced transit time, and consolidated deliveries. Reduced transit time and time definite deliveries also enable our customers to route their critical shipments through our PSC System, thereby reducing costly airfreight and other forms of premium transportation.

Customized Rate Structure

At ProTrans International, we offer a customized rate structure to all of our customers. Each customer’s freight is routed to an assigned regional Service Center. Regional consolidation of freight facilitates maximum volume on each trailer. Through our customized rate structure, we also offer position pricing. This unique pricing structure requires the customer to pay only for the space that their freight occupies in each trailer.

Ongoing Cost Review

Periodically, ProTrans International will schedule and perform confidential cost reviews. These cost reviews cover a customer's cost per pound by supplier as well as number of shipments, volume, and any additional major cost drivers. We will also supply a LoadBuilder review that will illustrate weight and cube efficiencies. The goal of our cost review is to identify and capitalize on improvements for your program.
