Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, October 1, 2007: ProTrans International, Inc. has purchased Logitrans International Dominicana, S.A. (LIDSA), a logistics provider in the Dominican Republic.  An important step in the venture to expand globally, this marks ProTrans’ first acquisition outside of the United States and Mexico.  The acquisition of Logitrans has resulted in the creation of ProTrans International Dominicana, S.A.

The local sales and operations of ProTrans International Dominicana, S.A. will be managed by Jose Luis Conde, former owner of LIDSA.  Mr. Conde, who will serve as Country Manager, has many years of logistics experience in the Dominican Republic and will be a valuable asset to the success of ProTrans in this growing market.
